To do list and a rec

Yea! So I have reorganized all my bookmarks, recced some fics (just for you Jess ^_~ - you should definitely check out the gen fic even though you don't read in the fandom) and cleaned out my rec folder. I also, cleaned out my yahoo inbox, downloaded the new mozilla and about a gazillion additions/extensions, and I got a new theme! I changed my font too. In addition, I cleaned up my room, went through the desk drawer of doom that always fills up during the week and found a receipt I've been looking for. I cleaned up my leaning tower of books as well. The only things I need to do still: clean up my yahoo folders, clean up my writers club/school stuff box, email debbie, and clean up my book shelf.
I've been quite productive. ^_^
I talked to Mom last night and she was feeling a little better, last night was a good day. She has another procedure/surgery on Monday which will hopefully help with the pain for a bit. She was hoping to go to the grocery store and stuff today, and she needs someone to come over and eat her yummy chili, b/c whatever will she do with such a big pot, however then I looked at Jess's lj. Oh my. I hope you are feeling better Jess (I emailed you but I don't know if you are checking it) :(.
What else did I do this week...
-I turned in my papers for the AMRS grant (and exciting, Dr. DeMarco emailed me about another opportunity ^_^)
-I submitted my work hours (before Sunday, go me)
-did interview for connect to OWU
-met w/ dr. latenier
I have so much work to do this weekend and this week that it is not funny, so I am making a little to do list, no need to click on it unless you are terribly interested in all the things I need to do.
Alright, off to work!!!!

Oh, and I might have another job, more about this soon, I don't want to talk too much about this right now.
So I think that's most of it...
Oh, I also wanted to recommend: Deja Dead by Kathy Reichs (which I believe that Jess recommended to me...if you get a chance, can you send me a list of the other books you recced, I don't remember them).
I really enjoyed the book and I am looking forward to reading the rest in the series. There are several so lots of reading for me ^_^
I am also reading, The Clubbable Woman by Reginald Hill, which is sort of interesting. I hate reading books out of order, however...His newest books look fascinating, but this book isn't as good I don't think. The people I talked to about it said the same thing, but they did recommend reading them all in order so I guess I'll just have to read faster....lol.
Reginald Hill has a Daziel and Pascoe Series and this is the first in the series. I find Pascoe interesting but Daziel is kind of not so great a person, but I think that's the point...I don't know, I'm wondering where he's going with the development of the character.
It's so exciting to read in a new genre, I mean I've read most of the good books in Fantasy (there are only so many out there) and I've thoroughly explored fiction (there are still lots of good books to read) and I will always go back to these areas but sometimes it's nice to branch out. I've read mystery before but it's been a while and then I mostly read Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, etc. So reading police procedural (the type of mystery I seem to like) and forensic mystery is new and different, and most of all fun.
Woo, now that I've talked about all of that. In case you were wondering I decided to keep a log of what I'm reading in here, b/c I forget the names of books that I enjoy; hopefully if I put them in here I won't forget, and hey maybe somebody else will read a good book ^_~.
