So I don't know if anyone who reads this watches Heroes, but I have to say, the whole toe scene? (Ansh are you watching Heroes? I keep forgetting to ask).

Today I did all sorts of random things I don't like doing, but that's alright. It appears that being a club president / editor of a newsletter requires you to interact with people and to discuss distasteful issues like money. Who would have figured? Writers Club is going to Ren Fest on Sunday which is fun and cool. Sadly Jean -the awesome student activities secretary retired (I finally ferreted out the story). I really liked Jean, she has been replaced by Mona who is...different and not Jean. :( It makes me sad.

I've visited Mona several times recently because I've been getting things ready for Sunday. According to Mona I do things too quickly...too many things at once etc. S'okay. Today she told me I was a devil or some such. Also, that she was going to reach across her desk and strangle me. Also, that she resented being my errand boy or something (If you find my dead body...I'm just saying). I didn't realize that I incited such strong feelings in people. I think she's kidding...mostly. Also, sadly, in the time period that Jean retired and Mona began working, they lost the Writers Club banner...again. :( Much sadness.

Speaking of Writers Club sadness, Megan is leaving school, for at least this semester, due to her ill health. This means that Writers Club no longer has a secretary, and that I must find someone to drive the van to Ren Fest. On the up side Megan agreed to drive if I can find no one else. This is the second person is as many weeks to leave school so far this semester. It happens every year - you hit the sixth week and people start to drop out like flies.

Anyway, after my encounter with Mona I headed over to Duplicating to discuss how many cents per page the Trident costs to print. That was enlightening.

I also had dinner with Jiwan, my suite mate tonight at Chandra's Bistro, the new Korean, Japanese, Sushi, quasi Italian restaurant in town. The food was good, but service was slow.

Sadly, Avesta's otherwise known as my curry chicken dealer, is closing. The owner of the building they lease raised the rent and they can no longer afford to keep the restaurant open. Personally I think it is an unmitigated tragedy. On a positive note the new independent book store is actually starting to look like a book store. It's named something like buzzy books or some such. I think there is a picture of a bee...

Fortune of the day: 'Be calm, like a giant tree in a storm.'
