Feb. 8th, 2005 10:58 pmSo I read that Mercedes Lackey book yesterday, it was pretty good, but I miss Valdemar....:)
It was a good book, but I spent half the book waiting for things to happen and the other half of the book wondering what had happened because things were happening so rapidly.
I went to work, went to class, and then I came back to my room to work on homework which went ok. But for the last couple of hours I've been at Socrates Cafe, which is sort of a philosophy group that gets together every Monday. It was interesting, I found people watching more interesting then listening half of the time. I just can't shake the feeling that half of the people talking were talking to hear themselves talk and to applaud themselves for their greatness...actually it's a lot like some of my classes.
The topic was: Is there a difference between man and woman (beyond the strictly physical) but it became a debate about what women should do, and who's going to tell them what they should do, and how is that decided.
I'm going to go read some more Kafka, and catch you folks later...:)
