Jan. 19th, 2005 02:47 pmSo I am currently trying to get caught up in my classes, tonight is my big study night. Hoorah! That will be helped by the fact that I no longer have Sims 2 on my comp. B/c I played it too often in too short an amount of time and my comp decided to protest, and my virtual memory threw a fit, with the end result that I temp uninstalled the game. Lol.
In other news I talked to Josh last night which was cool. I talked to Mom on Monday night and she is considering a trip to ky next weekend so I may flee campus for a couple of days.
I have been busy with work and school and friends. My friend Julie is a proud member of Delta Zeta, so go Julie! Woohoo!
I have a Writer's Club meeting tonight. I signed up to go hear what's his name, the guy who played Frodo's friend in LOTR, talk about the book he wrote about being part of the movies. That's next tuesday night. While I am not an avid fan I think it will be interesting regardless. As long as I am caught up in my classes b/c it seems as though I will be out rather late that night.
Well those are some of the things going on with me. Off I go, have fun Jess and Kat, and Jess I am very excited that you have a phone uber cool.
Oh Jess (sis)! I almost forgot I read About a Boy and I'm almost done with High Fidelity. I wanted to read some more of Nick Hornby's books. About a Boy was a lot different from the book, at least the ending was. But I'm still not sure which I liked better. In any case I still like the movie in a way it is almost a completely different story, like they took the same ideas and came with completely different stories.
I also read a book called Plain Jane which was very interesting. All about family relationships and Jewish tradition.
Really I just wanted to let you know that I read About a Boy b/c you were talking about it so much a year or two ago. By the by, how do you like Speak?
