Zip in...and OUT!
Jun. 12th, 2008 11:36 pmI can't believe it's been five weeks since I last posted here. :/ When my computer cord arrives I will post more but as things stand I am borrowing Jess's laptop and really, I need to head to bed. A brief recap of my life:
My desktop computer died
My laptop cord started smoking while I was holding it. I was sitting in the chair burning music and my fingers started to burn. I looked down and saw what looked like smoke. Then my fingers *really* started to hurt. I looked down again and there was definitely smoke coming from the suddenly exposed wires of my battery cord. So no laptop for a little bit. (I'm beginning to think that I'm like Harry Dresden - I just have so much magical talent that electronic things suddenly and inexplicably stop working or acquire weird quirks that plague me).
I now have a job, I am a transcriptionist. I also have a car. woohoo.
Trivia fact of the day: I walked into the dining room tonight and Whiz immediately started whining and crying and just generally freaking out which is weird, because generally he's fairly laid back. I crouched down to look at him and he started barking and crying. Then I saw his eye. Somehow he got what dad referred to as a hairball, on his eyeball. A big nasty looking one. He had been trying to get it out and as a result his eye was blood red. I escorted Whiz into the living room where Dr. Dad tried to smoosh the hairball out, which didn't work at all. Eventually we flushed it out with a big glass of water. Crisis averted at least for the time being. I'm happy to report on a related note, that his butt fur is beginning to grow back...
