A brief summation of classes:

This semester I am taking Latin 225 with Dr Latenier, Modern Brit Lit with Hipsky, Restoration -18th c. Brit Lit with Musser, and Rogues Progress: The Picaresque Novel with Merkel.

I really enjoy Rogue's Progress so far, and the others are interesting too. Obviously I have lots of reading this semester which is cool. Latin looks to be somewhat tricky, there are only four of us in the class so the class is very one on one and if you make any mistakes it is readily obvious. We have quite a bit of work to do too, but I suppose that will work itself out.

Other than classes this week has been progressing alright other than I'm not sleeping well, and as a result I am somewhat perpetually tired. Of course part of that is my fault. On Tuesday (?) Yes Tuesday, I set an alarm and woke up just prior to 6 am due to the fact that a solar eclipse (?) I think that's right, was going to be appearing in our night sky. In this type of eclipse the moon appears to disappear but because the sun is shining behind it the moon looks blood red. After watching the news at 11 I decided that I wanted to get up early and take pictures of it and the expert on tv said that the prime time to see it would be 5:45. So I set my alarm and I got up at 5 ish  and waited for the wonderful awesome sight of a red moon ("blood on the moon, blood on the moon" - what's that from Jess? ^_~) which was rather slow in coming. I waited and I waited, I readied my camera and set it to night time setting, and I got out my other camera. I was set. But then I turned on the tv and the expert said that it would not be at it's peak till closer to 6:30. So I decided I would just lay on my bed, watch the news and wait. Yes well. At just a few minutes till 7, I woke up and ran to the window where there was no moon to be seen at all. :( I missed the wonderful sight that I stayed up to behold, and there was much sadness. ah well.

Today I did tons of paperwork, ran around and set up meetings and did the club fair thing. We got so many names for Writers Club! I am super excited, I was yelling and accosting people, it was great. ^_~

Oh...pictures of my room behind the cut. If you're using dial up be forewarned, they might take a while to load.
