Cars and Bikes, oh My!
Jun. 12th, 2007 08:41 pmToday I dug my old bike out of the barn. It was a bit rusted around the rims, quite dirty, and had two flat tires. However, I bravely drove over to the library and dropped off my books and cds (I forgot your one book Jess so I think on our way to the store tonight perhaps we should drop that off). Then I hobbled over to mom's house. Several hours later the bike has been cleaned, I removed a rusty old chain that was padlocked to it, Mom and i pumped air into the tires, and (after pumping air into the tires) I fixed the problem with the brakes. Yea for bike riding. I'll admit I was a bit sweaty and out of breath when I got home but I got the old girl up and running. ^_^
Speaking of getting the old girl up and running, Mom and I started her car and it actually ran, yea! It has not been started in six months so we were very happy that it started. We are going to get the brakes fixed sometime this week / next week, so then her car will work. Woohoo! Tomorrow is my interview thingy with Marsha about the internship so I'm pretty excited about that too. (and nervous) Anywho...lots of things going on.
